• All organizations - businesses, nonprofit groups, and government agencies - need people who can manage resources effectively and efficiently. The Management major prepares students to lead and coordinate people, activities, and systems to achieve organizational goals through focusing on the critical functions of managers: planning, organizing, controlling, and directing.
  • There is no typical career path for management majors. The knowledge and skills developed through the major provide students career flexibility. Finding an entry level position immediately after college requires management majors to start career planning early by identifying their own strengths and career criteria and researching opportunities that meet those needs. Internships are an excellent way to explore those opportunities.
