The Department of Art provides a number of scholarships to dedicated, talented and academically qualified students. Each year in the spring semester, second-semester freshmen, sophomores and juniors, apply for one-year departmental tuition scholarships. Portfolio review and academic gpa serve as primary evaluation criteria.
The Kamerick Art Building, which houses all divisions of the Department of Art, was built in 1985. An award-winning structure that is based on an elegant modular plan, it is among the finest and most attractive art buildings in the region. In addition to spacious and well-equipped studios and classrooms, the facility houses a large professional art gallery and a state-of-the-art computer laboratory.
