Students in the Department of Art have complemented their major with minors in modern languages, music, English, communication studies, theatre and industrial technology.

The Department of Art takes great pride in its graduates who have obtained art-related positions in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, New York, Philadelphia, Lincoln, Dallas, Santa Fe and other cities; or who have been accepted to M.F.A. or doctoral programs at leading graduate schools throughout the country.

The Kamerick Art Building, which houses all divisions of the Department of Art, was built in 1985. An award-winning structure that is based on an elegant modular plan, it is among the finest and most attractive art buildings in the region. In addition to spacious and well-equipped studios and classrooms, the facility houses a large professional art gallery and a state-of-the-art computer laboratory.
