  • Students get the opportunity to choose between a thesis or non-thesis option.
  • The Animal Science unit offers graduate work leading to a Master of Science degree in Animal Science with four concentrations:
    • Animal Science
    • Animal Nutrition
    • Animal Reproduction
    • Customized Study: Animal Science
  • Through this program, students experience quality, hands-on learning both in the classroom and in the daily care, feeding, management, and supervision of animals.
  • During a student's first semester, a plan of graduate course work approved by the student's graduate committee will be filed with the departmental office.
  • Students have to successfully complete 35 semester hours of graduate credit for this program.
  • Each master's degree candidate must pass a comprehensive oral examination covering all graduate work including the thesis or research paper.
