The Rubenstein School has a thriving and growing graduate program with approximately 120 graduate students between our research Master's and Ph.D. programs and our low-residency professional Master's in Leadership for Sustainability. We are proud of our close-knit community that is characterized by high levels of engagement with undergraduate students, faculty, and staff in a vibrant learning-research atmosphere.

Two specific emphases of the Natural Resources?program offered by The University of Vermont?come from the strongly held values of the faculty and are fairly unique among doctoral programs nationwide:

  • supervised teaching experience along with a course in higher education pedagogy
  • cross-cultural competency requirement
