The Interdisciplinary Studies?program offered by The University of Vermont?has been in existence since 1972, and it has graduated hundreds of students over the decades?including pre-professionals, professionals, and pre-doctoral students.?

Students have represented all age-ranges from the 20s to the 70s. Professor Robert J. Nash has served as the Interdisciplinary Program Founder and Director since 1972. Currently, graduates of this program work throughout the state of Vermont, and elsewhere, in a wide variety of professional venues.

Almost 95% of students who enroll in the Interdisciplinary Program graduate and go on to productive careers as interdisciplinary educators (understood in the broadest sense) in their respective professional settings.
