The major seeks to awaken and enhance students? creative abilities in performing, writing and design, as well as to develop skills needed to evaluate artistic works.

All theatre majors complete the common core and also choose either a Theatre or Technical Theatre emphasis within the major. The respective core and electives must then be completed for each emphasis in addition to the common core.
