Satisfying society?s energy demands while protecting our environment requires unprecedented collaboration among scientists, engineers, policymakers, economists, and leaders of industry. Lehigh's Energy Systems Engineering Institute (ESEI) represents a novel partnership among students, industry sponsors and academic faculty, serving as a center of excellence that promotes research, education and technology transfer in energy systems.
The ESEI's centerpiece is a Professional Master's of Engineering (M.Eng.) program that prepares graduates of engineering and related disciplines to assume technical leadership roles in this evolving field. Students engage in research projects that provide hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge approaches and technologies, while project mentors and their firms identify new talent and explore emerging skill sets and solutions.
