The BS degree prepares individuals to pursue advanced degrees for careers in teaching or research. Students may major in agriculture, animal science, horticulture or landscape design with a minor to complement their intended purpose.
Animal health careers are a popular choice for our graduates, but there are other options, too! Besides veterinary school or pharmaceutical research, you can pursue jobs in animal production, behavioral therapy, conservation, nutrition, breeding and genetics. Become a zookeeper or wildlife rehabilitator, or work for nonprofit organizations like animal shelters and agriculture development groups.
