Master of Science in Professional Accounting is a 2 years program offered on a full-time basis.
Students are required to successfully complete 48 credits (three quarters) for the program.
It is a selective program that builds on the strength and diversity of our accounting courses while maintaining our focus on small classes and accessible faculty.
The Western Accounting Program structure builds on the depth and breadth of the Accounting Department's advanced level elective courses and closes working relationships among students and faculty members.
The program provides students opportunities to:
- Improve their expertise in the discipline of professional accounting.
- Deepen their knowledge in related subjects.
- Acquire the knowledge and skills for professional licensing as CPAs in Washington and other states.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a Bachelor's degree with an accounting emphasis from an AACSB-accredited business school.
A Minimum 3.2 GPA in upper-division accounting courses is required.
A minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in the last 90-quarter or 60-semester hours of study is required.
Applicants must demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and to reason analytically, logically, and creatively.
Students must achieve an acceptable Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

To be considered for graduate admission, the following items must be submitted to the Graduate School:

Personal statement, including background and intention.
Official application form to the Graduate School
Transcripts (from each institution attended).
International students who studied at a university outside of the U.S. will also need to Submit English Proficiency Exams scores such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
