Students of Political Science program from Louisiana State University may declare one or two concentrations within the major; a concentration consists of four courses. There are nine different concentrations:
- American government and politics;
- Comparative government and politics
- International politics and law
- Political theory
- Campaigns and elections
- Law & legal systems
- Political analysis
- Public policy
- Race & politics.
Only one non-POLI course may count towards a concentration. Students may complete the major without designating a concentration.
