Fitness and Health Promotion Courses
In order to provide a complete understanding of the health and fitness industry, courses typically fall into three categories:
- Theory. Courses in general nutrition, physiology, anatomy, flexibility, range of motion, and more will give students a solid understanding of the human body and what it takes to keep it healthy.
- Exercise and training. Students will learn to conduct fitness assessments, lead group fitness classes and provide personal training to prepare for a number of different positions in the health and fitness industry.

Studio time and work placements are also part of the curriculum in many fitness and health promotion programs, giving students the opportunity to practice their skills in simulated and real-world environments.
- Business. Business management, communication, leadership, and marketing will be emphasized to give students an understanding of the business side of the industry and also to help them promote their services.
