Established in 1958, the Actuarial Science program at Georgia State University is one of the leading programs of its kind in the world. Named a Center of Actuarial Excellence by the Society of Actuaries in 2009, the program houses faculty with international reputations who conduct research and educate talented students from all over the world.
For more than 50 years, GSU has developed one of the largest alumni networks of actuarial professionals, many of whom have gone on to become fellows or associates of the Society of Actuaries and/or the Casualty Actuarial Society as well as leaders in the actuarial profession and related businesses. The program is proud to have alumni who are past presidents of both U.S. actuarial societies as well as former and current presidents and CEOs of companies with global reach.
