Students in the music major take 7-8 semester hours of music ensembles,?such as the concert choir, vox humana, chorale or concert band. Non-music majors are also invited to participate in music ensembles, and scholarships are available for participants in all music ensembles. Music majors are also required to take applied music lessons in voice, piano or organ. The Bachelor of Music Education can lead to K-12 teaching licensure in the state of Tennessee. Students also have opportunities to perform in solo recitals as well as music theatre productions in collaboration with the theatre program. ?What can you do with this degree?
