The B.F.A. in Production Design and Technology allows students to study broadly in all areas of design and production or specialize in the design of scenery, costumes, lighting, and sound. Technology specialization includes technical direction, costume technology or props technology (artisanship).
What You'll Learn
- Design and technology skills, concepts and techniques are taught in a series of courses and special projects throughout the four-year curriculum.
- Productions are prepared under the close personal advisement and participation of the production faculty and staff.
- Qualified students are challenged with major creative technical or managerial responsibilities.
- Qualified upper-level students assist our faculty on their professional design productions at theaters such as Cleveland Play House, Alley Theater, the REP at University of Delaware and Indiana Repertory Theater.
