While no specific major is required by any of these schools, this curriculum provides students with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biological Sciences, prepares them for their professional school experience, and fulfills course requirements for entry into most schools.

Students will be assigned an academic adviser who specializes in the type of professional school he or she is interested in attending. A student should contact the schools of choice and consult both his or her academic adviser and the department preprofessional adviser for specific course and exam requirements.

Careers and Graduate School

With this degree, students will be prepared for their graduate or professional school experience (dentistry, medical, optometry, or veterinary medicine, physical therapy, physician’s assistant, etc.) and will complete the course requirements for entry into most schools.
