Henderson State University Programs
It has a semester-based system and offers over 65 UG programs and six graduate degrees. At present, degree programs are offered through the Teachers college, Matt Locke Ellis College of Arts and Sciences, and the Graduate School. Henderson State University also offers the only aviation degree program in the institutions at Arkansas.

Work while study: Henderson State University has a work-study program for eligible undergraduate and graduate students which provides part-time employment to eligible students to help meet their educational expenses while also adding valuable work experience. The interested applicant is required to apply in person with the departments in which s/he is interested in working.
Positions include both need-based work and other institutional work with flexible work hours ranging from ten to fifteen hours per week. The work provides minimum wage (current wage is USD 11 per hour and is subject to change) at the end of the month for the hours worked. FAFSA application is mandatory to apply in this program.
Graduate Assistantships: HSU provides teaching, research, and service assistantships to qualified admitted graduate students. It permits a student to act as a departmental assistant. The stipend is determined by the President of the university. Selected students may receive a tuition waiver for up to 12 hours for each semester that they are employed.
