- The program consists of 24 hours of course work:
- at least 16 hours of MCDB courses at the 400 level or above
- at least 4 hours in a cognate subject
- This program is flexible and serves a variety of career objectives such as teaching in secondary schools, employment in a variety of research-oriented jobs, and preparation for further professional training.
- MCDB’s Master of Science Program is a flexible pathway that can be customized for the next stage of a student’s career—medical school, a Ph.D. program, classroom teaching, a research position, or other biologically related vocation. Students have access to a diverse and challenging array of courses, seminars, and laboratory research opportunities to prepare for a career in the biological or medical sciences.
