Graduates of our program thank us for giving them not only the knowledge to pass the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NICDQ) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate exam but for instilling within them an exceptional work?ethic to excel within the field.

To become an interior design major at AU, you must pass two art foundations classes and six introductory, interior design classes, including Introduction to Interior Design, Architectural Drawing and Graphics I and II, and Foundations of Interior Design. Through these classes you'll begin to learn the professional values and technical knowledge that are essential for today's designers. Review of your portfolio, your progress and evolution within the discipline, and passage of the introductory courses open the door to your future study within the School.
