As a philosophy major you will study theories of knowledge and truth, explore views of the world and reality, and examine the cultural and social impact of major philosophical traditions, from ancient Greece to Western civilization. You will discuss ethical issues posed by contemporary culture—issues that pertain to family, law, environment, health care, genetic research, agriculture, business, and other areas.
Faculty work one-on-one with a close-knit group of students, which allows for the development of individualized research projects and partnerships.
