The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) offers a bachelor's of science degree in chemical engineering and a bachelor's of science degree in corrosion engineering. Students can also receive a bachelor's degree with a biotechnology specialization.
Chemical engineering involves converting raw materials (chemicals, petroleum, etc.) into marketable products like pharmaceuticals, plastics, soft drinkds and even cosmetics through chemical reactions, biological processes and molecular transformations.
