DY Patil University (DYPU), Pune is a part of DY Patil Group of Institutions and was established in 1983. DYPU is established by Govt. of Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2019 under the Section (3) and recognized by UGC, New Delhi, India. The programs are approved by AICTE, PCI, COA and other Regulatory Authorities. The University offers various UG Programs namely B Arch, B Des, BBA, BFA, B Pharm, LLB and D Pharm, B Tech, Diploma and B Tech (Integrated for 6 years), B Sc in Hotel and Culinary, B Sc Agri and Diploma in Engineering. It also offers a range of PG Programs including M.Arch, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and MCA, Ph.D. The flagship courses are B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Design, B.Pharm, BBA, MBA, and MCA. BBA LLB and LLB courses are approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.

Admission to DYPU Pune is done on the basis of various National/ State/ University level entrance examinations and Personal Interaction. The entrance exams accepted are JEE Main/UPSEE/MHT CET/ NATA/ GPAT/ GATE/ UCEED/ CEED/ AICET/ NID/ MAH MBA CET/ NEET UG/ ATMA/ CAT/ CMAT/ SNAP/ XAT/ GMAC. In case the student has not appeared for any examination university has an entrance test for B Tech/B.Design/MBA/MCA/ MBA Agri/ B Pharm for which Rs 1500/- shall be charged separately. The admission process was mostly based on entrance exams like JEE and CET, and the cutoff of Information Technology was 90 percentile, you can find the application form on the ERP website of the college, management quota should not be allowed due to reserved seats for the reservation students cutoff becomes high.

Yes, admission was done based on 12th-standard marks. A CAT exam was conducted. I had even given IIT JEE which was also a criterion at the time of my admission. Those grades do help in the admission procedure. No reservation benefits for me.
