Arunodaya University was established in 2014 in the city of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh by the State Legislature. The institute is affiliated by the AICTE and approved by the UGC.

Admission to the LL.B program is granted on the basis of merit.

Arunodaya University offers admission in M.Tech. and MBA under 8 and 13 specializations respectively. Admission to the latter is granted on the basis of CMAT.

Admission to all the PG degree courses such as M.Tech. MA, M.Sc., MLIS, MSW, MMS, MCA and M.Com. is granted on the basis of the candidates performance in the entrance examination. Candidates possessing a valid GATE score are also eligible for admission to M.Tech.

Final selection to all the programs will be done on the basis of performance in the entrance test/personal interview conducted by the college itself and also on scores of national and state level entrance examinations (wherever applicable).

The eligibility criteria to pursue PG courses at AU are that the candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from any other recognized university with 55% marks or equivalent GPA.

M.Sc.- Candidate done B.Sc. in relevant subject or Suitable combination with minimum of 45% Marks (40% for reserved categories) is eligible

MLIS- A minimum of 50%-60% marks in aggregate in Bachelor's degree is required.. Candidates can apply for this course within an age limit of 20-22 years.

Candidates with a graduation degree in Bachelor of Library and Information Science and Bachelor of Library Science will be preferred more.
