Don’t join the institute just because of the brand name NMIMS. The institute has a strict 80% attendance rule. The living cost is quite high, especially if you are coming from Mumbai. You should consider it while calculating the course fee and the ROI. It doesn’t have a campus.  Below are some of the pros of the MBA Tech course. Join the course if you want to learn about Management.  Choose the Mumbai campus, because of the exposure that you will get. There are some great student chapters like ACM, PMI, CSI, MUN, etc. The student council also organizes great events and great lectures. One of the biggest advantages of choosing this course is that you will get 50 marks in internal evaluation. So, passing the subjects is easier. Some of the management faculties are quite good. The curriculum contains two internships i.e. technical and management. You will get to learn a lot through these internships. You will save one year and gain 6 months of experience.  NMIMS MPSTEM placement scenario is average. According to the recent placement highlights, the average CTC offered to the students is 7.95 LPA.

For BBA, Christ University is the best option. The institute follows a rigorous curriculum which will help you to be more disciplined. Along with the regular academics, you are free to pursue many certificate courses at Christ. These will help your CV if you want to do an MBA later.  Christ University BBA placements are pretty good. According to the recent highlights, students received an average CTC of 6-7 LPA. 

One of my friends appeared in the NMIMS interview a few years back. Here is his experience in brief.  His case study topic was related to the competition between Patanjali and Hindustan United Ltd. 5 mins was given for reading the topic and 15 mins were given for discussion. After 12 mins of discussion, the students were informed that they had only 3 mins left. The group consisted of 12 students and there was 3 panelist. Every student had assigned chair numbers for case discussion and no changes were made in sitting arrangements afterward.  Within 5 mins of completing the case study, he was informed to prepare for the personal interview. The interview duration was 20-25 mins. The interview was taken by 3 panelists. First, he was asked to talk about himself for a bit. There were questions regarding his SOP, his academics, his interests, and Economics. They also asked why he wanted to pursue MBA and join NMIMS. 

NMIMS Mumbai is one of the most reputed B-Schools in the country. It is well-established and has a significant industry reputation. It has a vast alumni base, great faculties, and excellent placement statistics. As it is located in Mumbai, students get great industry exposure.  It is mostly known for its Marketing, Finance, IT, and Operations specializations. Companies also offer general management roles in the placement drive. But due to the vast batch size, only a handful of people can get such opportunities. In terms of ROI, it is a bit expensive compared to the other B-Schools in the same league. The living cost of Mumbai plays a huge role in that. 

Here are the steps that you need to follow after receiving your NMAT score.  Register and apply for the CD/PI process online. You will have to submit an SOP along with your application. You also need to pay a small fee.  You will receive the date on which the CD/PI is organized at the Mumbai campus, shortly after your application is done.  Students are divided into small groups for the CD. The topic of CD varies depending on the group. CD usually takes around one hour. After the CD is done you will have to wait for the PI round. The PI round usually takes 20-30 mins. In the PI, they usually ask questions like why MBA, why NMIMS, your achievements, etc.  The results are declared within 20 days. You will get to know your final rank and whether or not you got selected.

But my friend was given a topic about Net neutrality and Fair pricing. But there was no case written on the sheet of paper. Except for only one of the students from their group, no one had much information about the topic. In the interview, he was asked about his SOP, his family business, etc.
