Aspriants seeking admission to this course should meet the following criteria as mentioned by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognised University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for unreserved category and 45% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Divyang candidates.
Admission shall be made on the merit of the Composite Score to be determined on the basis of score obtained in the MET and marks obtained in 10th, 10+2 and UG examination, as given below:

Specializations offered in MA at MGCU are as follows:

For MA, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in BA in the relevant stream with a minimum of 60 % marks in aggregate from any recognized University or Institute.
For MJMC, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in BJMC with a minimum of 60 % marks in aggregate from any recognized University or Institute.

Candidates are selected only on the basis of merit or rank secured in the CUCET.
Final selection is based on the merit list prepared by the University which gives 50 % weight age to CUCET score, 30% weight age to Graduation performance and 10 % weight age to 10+2 scores each.
