Candidates who have passed a three-year degree course in a relevant discipline are eligible to apply for the respective PG courses.
Admission to PG courses is done on the basis of scores obtained in a written test conducted by the University and on the basis of performance in the personal interview and merit in the qualifying degree examination.
Candidates who have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 55% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for the respective M.Phil courses.
Candidates who have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or an M.Phil degree with 55% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for the respective Ph.D. courses.
Admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil courses will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) 2021, conducted by Assam University, followed by a performance in the personal interview.

Assam University Diphu Campus MA Admission 2023

Assam University Diphu Campus offers MA course at the PG level in 7 specializations. The MA courses have an intake of 300 students.

Applications to the MA courses will be accepted from candidates who have passed a three year BA degree in a relevant discipline from recognized university.

Admission to MA course will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the written test, followed by a performance in the personal interview and merit in the qualifying degree examination.

Key Points:

The written test will be conducted by the University.
Candidates who have taken up Hindi as MIL at the 10+2 level are not eligible to apply for the MA (Hindi) course.
Candidates who have passed three-year degree course and have also passed degrees like Shastri, Visharad etc are also eligible to apply for the MA (Hindi) course.

Assam University Diphu Campus M.Sc. and M.Com. Admission 2023

Assam University Diphu Campus offers M.Sc. and M.Com courses at the PG level. The M.Sc. course is offered in 4 specializations and has a total intake of 118 students. The M.Com course has a total intake of 40 students.

Minimum eligibility for M.Sc. program is a minimum three-year degree with minimum 45% marks in relevant discipline from recognized university. For M.Com, candidate must pass in a three-year degree course in commerce with 45% marks in the Major / Honors or 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

Admission to the M.Sc. and M.Com courses will be done on the basis of scores obtained in a written test, followed by the performance in a personal interview and merit in the qualifying degree examination.

Assam University Diphu Campus offers the M.Phil and Ph.D. courses at the doctorate level in 8 specializations.

For M.Phil course, candidates must have completed Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Whereas for Ph.D. course, candidates must have completed Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or M.Phil from a relevant discipline with 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

Admission to the M.Phil and Ph.D. courses will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET 2021), followed by a performance in the personal interview.

Key Points:

A student of Assam University whose M.Phil. Dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending is also eligible to apply for the Ph.D. course at Assam University.
Candidates who have cleared the four paper M.Phil course work with 55% marks or an equivalent grade of “B” are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D. program.
Candidates with JRF/NET/SLET/M.Phil will also have to appear for CRET 2021.
