Himalayan University PhD Course Details

PhD at Himalayan University has a duration of 3 years. Depending on the circumstances, the duration may be increased up to a maximum of 6 years. Himalayan University also encourages part-time mode of PhD research which may take up to 7-10 years for completion.

Throughout the course, the student will be placed under the guidance of a faculty member and work on their thesis. On course completion, the student needs to appear for a 'Viva Voce' or 'Oral Defense' assessment of their thesis. On its successful completion, a PhD degree will be awarded.
