Masters of Commerce is a Post- graduate Master’s degree which focuses on commerce, accounting, management and economics related subjects. It is 2 year course offered by various colleges and universities. The course mainly includes thesis based component and there may be some research based elements included.
The admission is generally through a common entrance test conducted by various universities accordingly. Certain universities also offer merit-based direct admission.
The average tuition fee for this course ranges between 3,700 INR to 12,000 INR for 2 years.
An M.Com. graduate can look for a career opportunity in public sector in various nationalized banks like State Bank of India, Union Bank etc. or in private sector in roles like Assistant Manager, Company Law Assistant, Junior Accountant, Relationship Manager, Sales Officer (accounts). The average starting salary after Post graduation in commerce ranges from 15,000 INR to 25,000 INR.

It all depends upon your preference as the infrastructure, faculty members differ from department to department. One of my friends, who pursued his M.Sc in Chemistry from KU, told me that it’s really good.
Overall, Kalyani University is a good university and I would suggest you go for it if you are thinking of taking admission to it.
According to the cutoff trends of the last few years, you will need to score above 130 out of 200 in WBJEE, in order to get into branches like IT, Electrical, Electronics at Jadavpur University. A score of around 105 should get you branches like Civil, Production, or Chemical Engineering at JU.
In order to get CSE at Kalyani University, your rank should be within 2000 and you will need a score above 92.

Finally, you should keep in mind that other mentioned universities may not be as old and experienced as CU, but they will show a bit of leniency while giving marks. So ultimately the decision is yours, whether you want to study in a reputed university with a strong and reliable alumni network or opt for the easier way out by getting admission to newer institutions.
