Gautam Buddha University (GBU) offers several courses at UG, PG and research level. All the courses are offered in a handful of disciplines. The university has 12 streams under which these courses are provided. Some of the streams are Science, Arts, Law, Management, Engineering and various others.

At UG level along with regular courses some professional courses are also provided. Professional courses like B.Tech, B.Ed, B.Arch are offered together with B.A, B.Sc, B.Com. Even the courses of UG curriculums are available in General, Hons., Integrated and lateral. To be eligible for UG curriculum students must pass 10+2 level from a recognized board. The admission is done on the basis of both entrance and merit. Entrance exams are conducted by the university itself.

Several courses are offered with multiple specialisations in the PG domain. Some of the courses are M.A, M.Tech, MBA, MHM, LLM and a lot more. For admission to any of the PG courses, students need to appear for entrance tests and must secure qualified marks to be selected. Students who have done bachelor's in respective fields from a recognized university and passed with a minimum percentage are eligible for a postgraduate curriculum from Gautam Buddha University.

At research based programs, the institution has PhD, M.Phil programs to offer in numerous disciplines. To be eligible for these courses applicants are required to complete master's in the concerned subject with 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Selection will be made on the basis of the score obtained in the written test followed by the interview.

The university conducts GBU-ET for admissions to LLM, M.Phil & PhD courses. Students need to go through GBU-ET and must secure valid marks for selection.

Apart from all these regular curriculum the college has some Diploma, Advanced Diploma, PG Diploma and Certification courses in multiple specialisations. The admission grants to these programs on the basis of merit.

GBU UG Admission 2023

GBU offers UG courses for 3 years. All the courses are regular, campus based, full time mode. The university provides courses at UG level in Hons., General and integrated mode. Courses like BCA, B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech, BA LLB, LLB, BBA + MBA and various others. For being eligible to any of the courses at UG domain students are required to pass intermediate level from a recognized board. GBU UG Eligibility

For being eligible to any UG course students should have passed 10+2 level with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
For B.A LLB, candidates need to pass 10+2 level with 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
For B.Ed, students need to pass a graduation from any recognized university in any stream.

For B.Des, students need to appear in a creative test followed by an interview/portfolio review.

At PG level GBU offers several courses in which M.Tech and MBA are the most popular ones. Apart from that other courses like M.A, M.Sc, MSW, MDRA, M.Plan, MCA are provided by the institute. GBU Admission Process 2023

To apply for Gautam Buddha University applicants need to follow few steps which are described below:

Firstly, candidates must visit the official website.
Go to the online admission portal.
Students need to register themselves through their valid email id & phone number.
After registration, the application form needed to be filled up with all the requisite details.
The application fee must be paid online or through DD in favor of GBU.
The admit card will be uploaded on the official website of the university. Candidates can download the same by logging in with their credentials.
The examination centre will also be decided by the University and the venue details will be given in the admit card.

Ans. The flagship course at GBU is the BTech course which is under the branch of Engineering Department. The total fees for the course is INR 7 Lakhs. In order to apply for the course, the students need to have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing minimum 50% marks. (45% for SC/ST). The final selection is done on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the university called GBU-ET.

Ans. The application fee of GBU-ET is INR 1200 for General & OBC categories and for SC/ST students the fee is INR 600.

The future of Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is improving every day. A lot has changed over the past few months. There is no shortage of faculty. They are well experienced and very cooperative. Placements used to be an issue which gradually improved. Now, many top companies like IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, HCL, etc. take part in the placement program. The future of GBU is as good as any other state funded colleges. Recently, the CM of UP has been looking over GBU activities and there are chances that it could be funded by the central government itself. It is better than any other private colleges in Greater Noida, NCR. GBU is soon going to become a central university, which would be a great step towards making it an even better place considering placements and more. Thus, GBU has a great future ahead.

No, ragging is strictly prohibited in Gautam Buddha University (GBU). You do not have to worry about ragging at all. The seniors are extremely cooperative and helpful. They offer a very welcoming vibe. If you need opportunities to express your talent, the seniors in your department will absolutely help you with it. They made sure that you receive proper guidance to polish your public speaking skills. Opportunities also came in the form of debate competitions, group discussions and anchoring in various events. They encourage you to take part in them. The anti-ragging atmosphere of this University is something which sets it apart from the other institutions of this region.

How are the hostel facilities in Gautam Buddha University?

There are a total of 19 hostels, 13 for boys and 6 for girls in Gautam Buddha University (GBU). All hostels have single occupancy rooms with an attached balcony. The room consists of a bed, table, chair, almirah and a cupboard. Rooms are well furnished with proper lights and a fan. There are approximately 1 washroom per 10 rooms. Each washroom consists of an Indian and a western style toilet with 2–3 bathing rooms. The condition of the washroom is good as they are regularly cleaned. The internet speed here is quite good. It varies from 5–6 mbps with minor fluctuations when the speed decreases. All social networking sites except google plus are blocked here. You can access the internet through LAN in the hostel and WiFi in departments but only through laptops. There is no such curfew here but the girls hostel timings are till 6:30-7 in summers and 5:30–6 in winters. The boys hostels have 11 PM as their closing time; they could hang about till 11 PM inside the campus.

Gautam Buddha University (GBU) has a beautiful campus. It is surrounded with lush green gardens and a huge campus. It is a state government university with well maintained infrastructure. Here are some facts about it: The faculty members are highly experienced. Most of them being from IITs and NITs. Guest faculties are also there. For students interested in sports, they offer their own stadium, a football and cricket field and also a basketball and badminton court. The hostels are really good and they offer single room occupancy. The mess is average, as the food is affordable but has less variations. Placements here are really good and have improved a lot recently. Companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra were the frequent recruiters. Now other companies like Byju’s, Cognizant and HCL are also taking part in their placement program. A student with a good academic performance receives an offer of 6-8 LPA. At GBU students get to explore themselves. You will have a new experience everyday. Always keep in mind to balance your studies and your free time. GBU will provide you lots of opportunities for both research and placements.

Gautam Buddha University, Noida is a State Government University with a huge campus in Greater Noida. Faculty: Faculties were from renowned institutes like JNU, NITs and even some held degrees from abroad. If there is a lack of faculties, a guest lecturer is arranged for the students. Hostel: Students were allotted single rooms with washrooms on sharing basis wing wise. The hostels have Gym, Table Tennis, carrom, etc. There is availability of daily newspapers and magazines. There is a sports complex with state of the art facilities. The Hostels have been provided with LAN cables to have internet connectivity. Placements: The placements were not good, but gradually it has improved. Now popular companies like TCS and IBM conduct mass recruitment, which ends up offering to almost all the students. Overall the college is really good and appreciated by the students. The infrastructure is gorgeous, much better than some of the IITs and NITs. Lately it has been deteriorating with time due to the lack of maintenance, care, supervision and funds. A lot of the college students are into student politics which sometimes affect their academic performance.
