Anna University is a public state university of Tamil Nadu and was established in 1978. It got split into six universities in September 2007. Anna University Regional Campus Madurai was established in 2010

Anna University Regional Campus Madurai offers UG Programs (B.E) and PG Programs (M.E, PhD and MBA) in Full Time mode. There are six departments in the campus: civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Management Studies.

For UG admissions, the candidates have to apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Counselling (TNEA) and for PG admissions the candidate have to apply for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)

For B.E admissions, candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for the TNEA 2021. The application process for TNEA is online.

For MBA admissions, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and appear for TANCET

All the applications are accepted in online mode for all the courses. .

Anna University Madurai B.E Eligibility Criteria

A Candidate for admission to the four-year B.E programme must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as required subjects.

Anna University Madurai B.E Selection Criteria

Seats are allotted on the basis of the TNEA counseling.
TNEA used to conduct an entrance exam for the selection of candidates but now there is no exam and the selection is done by online counselling
The online counselling procedure will start in the 1st week of July.
Candidates were required to pay the initial deposit of INR 5000 (general category) and INR 1000 (SC/ST/SCA category) as the counselling fee.

How to apply for the Anna University B.E Programme?

Since the admissions are done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Entrance admissions, the whole admission process is conducted by TNEA.

Register online with all the required information
after successful registration and payment of fee, candidates can log in easily with their username and password
After the registration candidates have to fill their choices for the courses and the universities
During the online counselling the university releases a merit list for the admissions into various universities

Class 10th and class 12th Certificate and Mark sheet
Identity proof
Category certificate (if applicable)
Domicile certificate
Counselling call letter

Anna University Madurai M.E Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed or are in their final year of Graduation from a recognized university can apply.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or possess a 10+3 years diploma certificate from the State Board of Technical Education are eligible.
Candidates with a valid GATE score with qualifying marks in relevant discipline of Engineering /Technology, need not appear for TANCET
Candidates should have passed a Bachelor’s degree exam in the relevant field by obtaining at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates).
Candidates with B.E. / B.Tech. degrees obtained through distance mode/weekend courses are not eligible.

In the department of management studies students can opt their specialisation in the areas like Operations Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management and Human Resource Management.

It consisted of 100 MCQ questions.
The medium of the paper is English.

Ques. How to reach the campus?

Ans. The campus is located on Kanyakumari national highway, keelakuilkudi which is 8 km away from the Kalavasal Bus Stop, Ponmeni, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. So, you can reach easily by busses available from the nearest bus stop.

Ques. Is there any health care facility available for students?

Ans. Health Centre provides medical facility to all the students and staff of the University. This centre is providing Health care services for about 15,000 students, research scholar 1,300 students & 11,000 staff and their families. It provides specialty consultancies in Ophthal, Skin, Diabetic, Gynaec, ENT, Paediatrics and Ortho to all students / staff once a week at the Main Campus. All the students of Anna University are covered by Group Mediclaim and Group Personal Accident Policy for Rs.50,000/- per student.

Ques. Are there any extra-curricular activities on the campus?

Ans. Yes, there are clubs in the campus like NSS/YRC, Innovative club, Fine Arts Club, Entrepreneurship Development cell etc. Innovative club assists students and also encourages young talents minds, by providing them a perfect platform for show casing their talents, work together as teams and participate in various competitions. EDC is effectively functioning by spreading awareness on entrepreneurship among young minds. The cell has organised various entrepreneurship awareness camp in association with EDI Ahmedabad It has also received grant from DST under DST-NIMAT Project.
