The level of difficulty of the MIT entrance test, i.e. MUOET is medium. If your concepts are clear you can easily score high marks.

  • MUOET will be easier than JEE Mains. But you should prepare for the JEE Mains level, that way you can do well for any university entrance test.
  • Most questions are based on formulas and cases related to formulas. So, knowing formulas well will definitely help you in the entrance test.
  • One thing that most students attempting MUOET find difficult is speed. If you are fast, you will be able to solve more questions, that way you can score better.

You should keep in mind that easy paper results in more competition, so don’t aim below 150.

Yes, it is quite good for middle-class students. Some even take education loans to study at the Manipal University. You will find students from a similar financial background as you.

The university has a very good reputation both nationally and internationally. It is known to offer the best opportunities for placements. One good point is that it does not sponsor seats, unlike various other institutes.

However, there are other things to take into account. A huge number of students arrive from very affluent lifestyles. Students sometimes fall trap of unlawful activities outside the campus. It is because of factors like that they suffer from distraction both academically and mentally.

Hence, if you have an inclination towards it and you are keen to take forward your career without further hindrance or distraction, then Manipal University can be a good choice nonetheless.

I am sure most people are going to answer this by saying a score of 350+ is likely considered good in the Manipal University Exam.

Well, I have a completely different opinion in this regard. This is because my sister had a score of 297 and yet was able to get into Electrical and Electronics Engineering, at Manipal University. What I mean is, scores certainly are a major factor affecting Your chances of admission, but not the only factor. An excellent profile or interview performance might help you get into your dream college. The fact that she got admission, not in a less demanded branch but EIE was a miracle indeed.

Here is a detailed analysis of MET 2023

So the key is to work hard and don't let mere scores demotivate you.

Biotechnology from Manipal University provides you with knowledge about the development in the area of Biotechnology with respect to industry, agriculture, and medicine.

My brother who graduated from Manipal University claims that the placement opportunities at this university are insane. You can see a well-maintained team that arranges employment opportunities with their excellent links with the good industries. The director keeps his eye on the work of the institution and this, as a result, helps the students to avail maximum benefits.

There are a handful of career opportunities after doing the Biotechnology course, which includes - working for TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and many great MNCs or working for the industries based on biotechnology such as Nicholas Pirimal ltd, Philips HealthCare, Biocon, etc.

You could go for research in biofuels, environmental biotechnology, process industry, industrial biotechnology, etc.

One of my friends joined VITEEE with a 23,000 rank and got a seat in ECE through the management quota. His rank in SRMJEE was around 14,000 and got IT without any quota on the main campus. But SRM's reputation was not good as a university.

He wanted to pursue Engineering in Computer Application and was looking for a University which has a good brand, student environment, and reputation.

Manipal University being one of the top private institutions in India was his final destination.

  • Unlike others, this university doesn’t take donations and students only get seats through merit.
  • He was not sure about going to Jaipur though. But after spending years on the campus, he liked it.
  • Seniors were very helpful and guide you throughout the course.
  • Faculty members are very experienced and most of them hold Ph.D. in their respective areas.

If you are looking forward to joining it then go for it, you will surely not regret your decision.

If you are asking about serious and somewhat violent ragging, then no that does not happen at Manipal University Jaipur.

But there will be “casual interactions” with your seniors. It will be like an informal introduction where they will ask you for your name and all. They will also try to pull your leg a bit like asking to talk in Hindi only. They may also ask you to perform some small tasks such as dancing, acting or any such stuff. They may also ask you for some personal details which can make you a bit uncomfortable.

The best way to handle such situations is to stay calm and respect your seniors. Do not try to be too arrogant or be too shy. These interactions are done so that the seniors get to know you and you get to open up with others. These seniors will eventually become your friends, some even your best friends.

But if you try to become over smart, then certainly you will attract their unwanted attention which can become a problem for you.

Well, a precise answer cannot be possible, it totally depends on the cutoff and the branch. I have many friends who have successfully secured a seat at Manipal University. Check out the following insights on the cutoff and admissions.

  • Keep in mind that the entrance paper will be quite long and there’s no way to finish it on time. Keep around 1/2 hr in the middle so you can make guesses for the questions you don’t know, as there is no negative marking.
  • A few years back one of my friends got 157/200 in MUOET and was the first one to take up a Mechanical engineering seat in Manipal campus with a rank of 462. The cutoff ended at 6K odd rank.

Nonetheless, there is no fixed score to get you in, as it changes with every branch. With 95/200 marks it is recommended to try in Jaipur campus as it can be quite easier as compared to the main campus. Also, if you have no idea about which branch is best for you, then blindly go for CSE/IT because these branches have the maximum placement opportunities. In the end, you might get admission in some of the other subjects for even 11000 ranks but when it comes to placements, it might get troublesome.

You should go for the B1 block and do not choose rooms that have a number of more than 377. Go for the first 76 rooms on any floor as the rest of the rooms are poorly constructed and do not have adequate facilities.

Make a choice between B1, B2, and B7 blocks. B1 and B2 are the oldest blocks and are vacated by the seniors before giving them to the freshers. B7 is the newest block for boys. This block is very good as it is newly constructed also it is much near to the mess, gyms and have got a lot of sports and recreational activities. If you want to be surrounded by seniors then you may choose B1 and B2 blocks. Each block has an individual caretaker and female hostel wardens. There are cameras and security guards in every corner of the campus.

You will be getting spacious rooms, centrally cooled AC attached washrooms as well. The wifi speed on the campus is not so good. There are dance clubs, green clubs, acting clubs and music clubs. The college conducts 3 fests in a year. Most of the students belong to the Delhi location.

Thapar University is better than Manipal Jaipur. It is an old technological institute with a better industry presence. The learning resources and facilities offered by the institute are great. If you are getting your desired branch at Thapar, you should definitely choose it. Thapar University placements 2022 report shows the average CTC offered to the students is around INR 10.97 LPA. The highest CTC offered was INR 40 LPA.
