•  Admission to its Ph.D. course is based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination conducted by the institute, followed by a personal interview round. Candidates clearing the UGC-NET/ JRF/ SET/ GATE examination are exempted from the written examination.

Candidates seeking admission into the Ph.D. course must have to complete their Master’s degree in a relevant stream with a minimum of 65% as an aggregate. A relaxation of 5% in marks is given to the candidates belonging to the ST/SC/OBC category.

Application Procedure

Applications for Ph. D are encouraged through offline mode. However, applicants who download the application form from the official website should pay the admission fee INR 1000 through DD in favor of "Dean, CTAE, payable at Udaipur'' 

Documents Required

• Marksheet of the previous qualifying exam/completed course.
• Transfer certificate from the head of the institution last attended or no objection letter from the last employer ( if employed).
• A certificate of conduct from the head of the department of the institution last attended.
• Physical fitness certificate approved by a registered medical practitioner.
• If eligible for any kind of reservation, concession, exemption, and experience; all relevant documents to support them.
• Employer’s certificate (if either of the parents is a government employee).

Research Activities

Research activities in the university are funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), The State Government, and other agencies. The All India Coordinated Research Projects (AICRPs) are 75.25% funded by ICAR and the State. Research projects from other agencies are fully sponsored by ICAR under the Ad-hoc scheme. State plan projects that focus on need-based research are funded by the State Government.
