Career Point University offers Phd. programme for the students who have done their post graduation in 33 disciplines such as Education, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Zoology, Engineering, Textile, etc. The duration of the course is 3 years with a two month grace period.
- Admission in Ph.D. is based on an entrance test conducted by the University (CPURET) or the candidates should have qualified NET/SLET.
- The entrance exam centres are in Alwar, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Hamirpur (H.P.), Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Mohali, Patna, Rajsamand.
- The programme is offered as full time as well as part time. A Full-Time Ph.D. student needs to maintain 75% attendance during his course work in all the courses for which they opted. Similarly, a Part-Time Ph.D. student has to maintain at least 90 hours of attendance in each term of his/her registration.
Career Point University Ph.D Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should fulfill the following criterias:
- The candidates should have completed their Post-Graduation with 55% aggregate marks from any recognised University in the respective streams they wish to apply for.
- For the SC, ST OBC students, there is a relaxation of 5% marks in eligibility criteria.
- The candidates should give the CPURET or they should have given the NET/SLET exam.
Career Point University Ph.D Admission Guidelines
Admission for the Ph.D. program is based on as per UGC Norms through Entrance Test-CPURET but those students who qualified their NET/SLET exams are exempted from the entrance exam, however, they need to fill the application form.

How to Apply Offline?
- Send the filled application form along with a Bank DD of INR 2000/- in favor of Career Point University, payable at Kota.
- Candidates should mention the name, address, mobile number, a course on the backside of the demand draft.
Direct Admission Criteria
The following category candidates may be considered for Direct Admissions:
- An applicant who is qualified in a national level test such as National Eligibility Test (NET? JRF), NET?LS (without fellowship), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET), or State Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC/Central or State Government.
- An applicant who is a recipient of the National Doctoral Fellowship or any other fellowship from a government/semi?government organization, such as the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), and similar other National Level Organizations.
- An applicant who is selected under the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of AICTE, Faculty Improvement Programme of a State or Central Government or Teacher Fellowship sanctioned by the UGC.
- An employee of any other university/institution/college/government/department/public sector undertaking/R&D organization/private industry (with at least 3 years of experience), who is sponsored as a full?time candidate by the said organization, and relieved on study leave for a period of not less than two years for pursuing Ph.D. program in a Department of the University.
- A foreign national who is a recipient of the fellowship of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) or cultural exchange fellowship of the Government of India or a research fellowship sponsored by the Government of his/her own country.
- A self?financing foreign national who is admitted through the Embassies/High commission of his/her country in India or admitted under an MOU with due clearance from the Indian Missions abroad and granted a research VISA. (As per the revised guidelines available on the Website of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, on the grant of research visa, the foreigners who desire to research in India, should apply to the concerned Indian Mission abroad with a brief synopsis of the research project to be undertaken in India, the details of places to be visited, previous visits, whether the scholar has secured admission in a recognized or repute institution in India and evidence of financial resources. Any changes made by the Government of India in this regard from time to time shall be ipso?facto applicable).
- A scholar who is already registered as a Ph.D. scholar in some other university and whose supervisor joins CP University: Provided that the scholar will obtain a 'No Objection Certificate' from his/her earlier university and after being registered in this university will get his/her registration in the earlier university, canceled.
- An applicant, working in an externally funded research project in the University as research personnel, may be allowed admission to the Ph.D. program at the University.

Education at Career Point Institutions is organized around the semester-based credit system of study.
Attendance policy
- A Full-Time Ph.D. student needs to maintain 75% attendance during his course work in all the courses for which he has opted. Similarly, a Part-Time Ph.D. student has to maintain at least 90 hours of attendance in each term of his/her registration
- A research student/candidate after having completed the coursework must attend to his research work on all the working days and mark attendance except when he/she is on duty/sanctioned leave. The requirement of 75% attendance will apply as above on daily attendance except in the cases where longer leave has been duly sanctioned within the leave entitlement of the student.
- A candidate is required to give attendance to the concerned faculty/guide for at least 200 days before submission of the thesis
- A women research candidate will be eligible for 6 months of maternity leave during the period of her research work on producing such certificates issued by an authorized medical officer.
- Non – compliance with rules of attendance by any of the candidates may lead to cancellation of his/her registration.
Career Point University Ph.D Scholarship
For the First Year, 10 % fee rebates as an annual fee as scholarship at the time of admission are offered by the University.
2nd Year onwards, scholarship is based on Academic Performance (CGPA score) in their semester exams conducted by University. The details are mentioned below:
