Aspirants seeking admission to 3-year Full-time Ph.D. program should have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) from a recognized university. Candidate must have some financial assistance such as NET-JRF, financial assistance from Govt. agencies {Like Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF), Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF), etc.} and working in CUPB projects with fellowships. NET-JRF will be exempted from the test, however, they have to appear in the interview.
The chances are less but it does not mean that you cannot get admission. Securing a seat in CURAJ with 33 marks is difficult but you can easily get that in Central University of Punjab (CUPB).
During the first, second and third rounds of counseling, you may or may not get seats but after that the university conducts an open counseling and spot admission.
Every year, seats remain vacant in almost each and every course in CUPB. You may get a seat in the third round of counseling or after that in open counseling.
Central University of Punjab has recently moved to a new permanent campus, which has cabins constructed at every free space possible, such as the sports hall and parking areas. Doctoral students are given a single-seated room (cabin) until the year 2016, while master's students are given a room on a sharing basis.
The rules for the hostel are relatively lenient now compared to the past. Girls are allowed to study in the library even after midnight, but they are not permitted to roam around the campus after dinner. There is no nightlife available on campus, but students can use the library or stay in their rooms to study. The hostels and campus offer Wi-Fi, RO water, and geysers. However, air conditioning or ducting in the rooms is not possible since the cabins are temporary, portable structures. During the summer, the temperature can reach up to 46 degrees Celsius, making the rooms feel like a furnace unless a cooler is used.
Overall, the facilities are good enough to survive, but they are not enough to have a great time. If you cannot compromise on hostel facilities, it is recommended that you look for another university since Bathinda is not a very developed or urbanized city, but more like a town.
For a masters degree in Environmental Science Central University of Punjab (CUPB) will be a better option. The research works conducted there are really good.
The department has good motivated students and a highly experienced faculty. Even the lab facilities are good enough for education purposes. In Central University Punjab there is one more term added to the course, that is technology.

It cannot be exactly said how much marks you need to get admission in Central University of Punjab (CUPB) or Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ).
You should at least have a score of 50% marks if you are from the Unreserved category. It is not that difficult.
The paper contains two sections in which the first section contains 25% questions for general awareness and the second section contains subject matter with 75% weightage.
Almost every year some seats always stay vacant in CUP-B so try scoring more than 45% to secure a seat in this institution.
