Course Details

Utkal University offers a sponsored B Pharma course which is a 4-year undergraduate degree. Prospective applicants need to appear for the OJEE or Orissa Joint Entrance Exam. The course is offered through 6 semesters of 9 credits each.

The university is inviting applications to B Pharma through OJEE 2021. Applicants can register for the same till June 15, 2021. A candidate who has completed their 10+2 or equivalent is eligible to apply for OJEE 2021. OJEE has 60 questions about the MCQ pattern.

The course is a 4 year UG programme divided into 6 semesters.
Applications are invited online for OJEE, a state-based common entrance exam required for the admission to B Pharma program.
It is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
A candidate must have passed 10+2 from the Orissa board or other recognized board in the science stream with at least 55% marks to be eligible to apply for admission.

Utkal University B Pharm Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must have passed 10+ 2 through the Orissa state board or equivalent board.
A candidate must have Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/ Biology, Technical Vocational subject and English as their core subjects in 10+2.
Minimum 45% marks is a must for a candidate belonging to SC/ST/Reserved category seeking to apply for OJEE B Pharma.
Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 is a must for a candidate belonging to the General/OBC category.
There is no specified age limit for applying to OJEE.

Utkal University B Pharma Admission Criteria

Selection Criteria

Admission to the B.Pharma course is taken on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in OJEE.
Applications to OJEE are offered online – the last date to apply for OJEE 2021 is June 15, 2021.
The entrance is tentative and is offered in CBT mode.
The exam is conducted every year in the month of June but due to the ongoing pandemic, the dates have been extended.

OJEE - Orissa Joint Entrance Examination 2021

OJEE is a state-based common entrance examination conducted by OJEE cell Orissa.
It is a common entrance exam for admission to B.Pharm, MBA/PGDM, MCA, and M.Tech courses.
It provides admission to more than 43 top educational institutes of India.
There are 60 questions of the MCQ pattern.
OJEE 2020 cut-off marks for the general category was 700- 450 for rank 1- 14060.

Eligible candidates can apply for admissions to Utkal University by visiting the official webpage of the college.
Click on the register link to register yourself.
After the registration is successfully completed next the candidate is required to pay the application fee through Net Banking/ UPI.

Inspire scholarship: "Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)" is an innovative programme sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology to meritorious students undertaking bachelor’s and master’s courses in Natural and Basic Sciences.

You have to contact the respective department. One of my friends who was preparing for the MFC exam got all the questions from the office of the Department of Commerce. They may charge you but it is a very reasonable amount. It also depends on whether the department is giving the questions. For example, the MBA Department does not give any question papers for certain reasons.

Here is how you can get your transcripts from BPUT. From the BPUT website, download the application form for transcripts. Write a covering letter to the director/principal of your college and state the reasons why you require your transcripts. Make demand draft according to the number of transcripts you require. Print out the application requirement of the college you are applying. Visit your college and get all the above papers verified and signed by your college director/principal. At the BPUT Rourkela office, apply in person for the transcripts with all the verified documents. The university usually takes 7 days to process the request. You can collect the transcripts after that.

I have a few friends from Utkal University, who used to stay in hostels. According to them, you can go out of hostels. You need to be back before the notified time in the evening. If you need to stay out beyond the curfew time, you will have to get permission from the superintendent or the deputy superintendent. If you need to stay out of the hostel for more than one day you will have to apply through proper channel. In case of departmental occasions like freshers’ party or annual day, you can stay out late. An application forwarded by the departmental head will be enough.
