Mahatma Gandhi University is located in Meghalaya at Ri-Bhoi. The University was established in 2010.

Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU, Meghalaya offers the B.A. LL.B, LLB, B.Sc., BCA, BBA, B.A., BMLT, BPP, B.Com., BRIT and BPT courses at the UG level. Applicants to the BRIT, BMLT and BPT courses must have completed 10+2 in the science stream, with 40% marks for BRIT and BMLT and 45% marks for BPT.
Candidates who have completed graduation from a relevant stream are eligible to apply for the PG courses at MGU.
Candidates applying to the LLM course are required to have a 3-year LLB degree or a 5-year BA LLB degree to be eligible to apply.
Candidate must have done post-graduation degree with 55% marks are eligible to apply for Ph.D. or M.Phil.
Admission to the UG, PG, Diploma and doctoral courses at MGU will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the MGU-GET and based on performance in a personal interview.

The University offers one-year M.Phil and part-time and full-time Ph.D. program at doctoral level.

The basic eligibility for Ph.D. and M.Phil. is a candidate must have completed master’s degree with 55% marks from the recognized University.

Selection will be done on the basis of MGU GET 2019 scores.

An application fee is INR 1000/- and can be paid online, through credit card/debit card / net banking.
Submit the application form.

Offline Application Process

Candidates can apply offline, by downloading the application form and sending out the filled-out application form to the University. Detailed below are the steps to apply offline:

Visit the official website of the University.
Hover over the “Admissions” button and click on the “Download Admission Form” button.
Download the application form by clicking on the appropriate button.
Fill out the application form accurately, by hand.
An application fee is INR 1000 and can be paid through a Demand Draft, drawn in favor of “Mahatma Gandhi University” payable at Meghalaya or through cash deposit at Mahatma Gandhi University campus or at any PNB / Axis Bank Branch.

Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya Scholarships

The University offers the Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship under category 1 and category 2. Preference will be given to candidates whose family income is less than INR 2,50,000/- per annum. No caste-based preference will be given. Candidates studying graduation, post-graduation and Diploma are all eligible to apply for the scholarships.
