• Candidates can fill the application form online through the university website by  logging-in through their credentials as generated by the system upon successful registration. After filling the form, candidates can pay the application fee online through internet banking or Debit/Credit Card.  Students can also submit the application fee through demand draft (DD).

• Male candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of Rs. 500/- (for online applications) and Rs. 550/- (for manual applications). As walk-in candidate for test, an application fee of Rs. 800/- must be submitted.

• Female candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of Rs. 100/- (for online & manual applications). As walk-in candidate for test, an application fee of Rs. 200/- must be submitted.
• Students can also obtain applications through post by sending a request letter for application form along with a self-addressed stamped envelope superscribed "GS-2016 (Subject)" to the university office.

• Candidates can submit the application fee for the above courses (except Ph.D. in biology) through demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn on State Bank of India in favour of "Tata Institute of Fundamental Research" payable at Mumbai. In case of Ph.D. in biology, DD should be made in favour of "National Centre for Biological Science" and payable at Bangalore
• In case of offline applications, duly filled-in applications should be sent along with the DD, necessary enclosures and two passport size photographs to the following address:
