You would be marked A, i.e. Absent on your mark sheet in the paper that you were absent.

  • If you were absent in all of the papers, it will simply appear on your marksheet as Absent and the final result will be declared as Fail. You will not be able to take admissions in the next year.
  • If you were absent in only 1-2 papers and passed in all of the other papers, then you will get ATKT (Allow to Keep Term) which means that you will get admission in your next year.
  • One more important thing to remember is that, for the absent paper, you will not get any Condole marks (grace marks given by the university to pass the exam) in the future. You will have to clear those subjects in the future.

It’s best not to miss the exam.

  • First, you have to fill-up the transcript form.
  • The mark sheets of the degree of all semesters need to be attached.
  • Then submit the transcript along with all mark sheets of the degree.
  • Pay the processing fee.

You will receive your transcript within 1-2 months. The updates are provided in the email of the candidate. One of my friends had applied for the same, his only complaint was that the website did not give any detailed status.

One of my friends recently graduated from Shivaji University. According to him, it is quite different from other universities. Let me share the tips he provided which might help you in the beginning of your 1st year.

  • First of all, try preparing for the university exam from your first day of college, if scoring good marks is important to you.
  • There will be a lot of assignments given to you. Try completing them in the given time with proper precision. As this will be beneficial for your university exams.
  • You must be accustomed to self-study as depending completely on the faculty members might lower your chances to score higher marks.
  • Concentrate on the practicals as they will provide hands-on experience.
  • Make sure you maintain a 75% attendance. Attendance also depends on your internal marks so prepare well.
  • For theoretical questions try writing lengthy and informative answers, as this will fetch you good marks.

Lastly, try maintaining good behavior by being punctual, attentive, and sincere. If you fail to behave properly it will affect your internal marks, which will overall affect your scorecard.

Some of my friends studied at Shivaji University, so let me share their experiences, which might give you some options on what to do on the weekends.

  • If you prefer spending time in and around the campus, late at night the student union organizes a weekly event that includes different themes from karaoke, art and crafts, games, and much more.
  • You can also take part in sports events both by watching or participating in them.
  • There are many temples to visit like the Mahalaxmi temple and Jyotiba temple situated on hills.
  • You can also visit Panhala fort which is nearby Kolhapur.
  • If you do not prefer outings on the weekends, you can stay at your hostel and work on your communication and personality development skills.
  • You can start by solving Aptitude, mathematical and logical questions.
  • If you get tired you can relax and watch movies, roam around with your roommates or friends.
  • Also, try practicing meditation or yoga to maintain your concentration and health.

Therefore there are a lot of things you could do during the weekends, be it staying indoors or roaming outdoors, there is a scope to indulge in any extracurricular activities.

There are so many engineering colleges under Shivaji University. Not all of those colleges are good, however, there are 2-3 very good colleges. One of the best private engineering colleges under Shivaji University is Kolhapur Institute Of Technology, Kolhapur i.e KIT College, Kolhapur.

When comparing the students of Shivaji University and other universities such as Pune University, the student of Shivaji University are more talented and good in academics. The reason behind this is the engineering curriculum. For each semester, you will have to work very hard. Each subject has more than 7-8 chapters.
