Course Description

Shivaji university Mcom Admission 2023 will begin soon. The admission will be based solely on Bcom degree merit. The online application process for the program will start in April 2023 and close by May 2023 Tentatively. The counseling rounds will commence in July 2023. The new session will tentatively begin by August 2023.

Shivaji university Mcom is a post-graduation program offered in 12 specializations. The duration of this full-time program is 2 years. The approximate program fee is around 11K for a year. Shivaji University holds this program under the open learning/ distance learning system as well.

Candidates seeking to get admission in M.Com should have completed B.Com from a recognised University
Students should have minimum 55% marks in their B.Com degree.

The Admission to Master of Commerce is done on the basis of marks obtained in B.Com degree by the candidate.
Selection of the candidates is done on merit-basis.

Candidates having a B.Com degree are eligible for admission to M.Com Course.
Currently, admissions are done online from the official website of Shivaji University.
Students need to register if they are new applicants. If not they can log in to their existing Id.
Fill an application form online with your details required.
Choose the course which you want to pursue.
Upload the documents required at the time of filling the admission form.
Submit the form after filling in all the details.
Students have to pay an application fee online by credit/debit card or any online mode of payment.
Successful registration will be done after the payment.
Print the application form after the successful registration.

Shivaji University M.Com Course Details

Duration: Shivaji University offers a full-time M.Com degree of 2 years duration.
Course Structure: M.Com is offered with a duration of 2 years which are further divided into 4 semesters. Each semester consists of six months. M.Com course includes 8 Core Courses (CC) and 8 Discipline Specific Electives (DSE) Courses
Examination: There are a total of 16 Papers in M.Com 2 year course. 4 papers in each semester. Every paper contains 100 marks each.

You would be marked A, i.e. Absent on your mark sheet in the paper that you were absent. If you were absent in all of the papers, it will simply appear on your marksheet as Absent and the final result will be declared as Fail. You will not be able to take admissions in the next year. If you were absent in only 1-2 papers and passed in all of the other papers, then you will get ATKT (Allow to Keep Term) which means that you will get admission in your next year. One more important thing to remember is that, for the absent paper, you will not get any Condole marks (grace marks given by the university to pass the exam) in the future. You will have to clear those subjects in the future. It’s best not to miss the exam.

You must be accustomed to self-study as depending completely on the faculty members might lower your chances to score higher marks. Concentrate on the practicals as they will provide hands-on experience. Make sure you maintain a 75% attendance. Attendance also depends on your internal marks so prepare well. For theoretical questions try writing lengthy and informative answers, as this will fetch you good marks. Lastly, try maintaining good behavior by being punctual, attentive, and sincere. If you fail to behave properly it will affect your internal marks, which will overall affect your scorecard.

You can also take part in sports events both by watching or participating in them. There are many temples to visit like the Mahalaxmi temple and Jyotiba temple situated on hills.
