North Maharashtra University (NMU) is a teaching cum affiliating university in Maharashtra. NMU and its 220 affiliated colleges offer higher education in the fields of Arts, Management, Education, Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Commerce and Agriculture.
Admission to the UG courses is granted on the basis of merit achieved by the students in the 10+2 level examination. However, for the B.Tech. course the university accepts valid MHT CET scores only. NMU grants admission to PG courses on the basis of national level entrance exams scores such as GATE, CAT, MAT, MAH MCA CET.
NMU has been accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and a CGPA score of 3.11 on a 4 point scale. Besides, NAAC has also honoured NMU with a prestigious 4 star status. The campus of NMU is spread across a vast area of 660 acres that includes 2 lakh trees, library, hostel for boys and girls, sports complex, laboratories, cafeteria, gym, medical facilities, plant tissue culture lab, shuttle service, auditorium, bank, post office, audio visual hall, convocation Auditorium, day care centre etc.

NMU Admission Process

NMU Facilities
- Gymnasium: The NMU has a well developed and furnished gymnasium. The gymnasium consists of 12 sections, wrist Conditioner, Vertical Leg Press, Standing Leg Squat, Pumping Cycle, Exercise Cycle With rowing Action, Pulling, Twister, Roman Chair, Hyperextension, Bench Press cum Shoulder Press, high pulling, dipping hip flexor etc. The facility of constructor is also provided in the gymnasium.
- Sports: the university also provides sports facilities in indoor and outdoor stadiums. The games which are played include an 8 lane running track with hockey and football ground, Kabaddi ground, kho kho grounds, basketball, volleyball, tennis court, ball badminton.
