Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, formerly known as Madhya Pradesh Pashu-Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya is a state agricultural university. It was established in 2009 and is located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The university is affiliated to University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University offers Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) with a total intake of 87 students, and Bachelor of Fishery Science (B.F.Sc.) with a total intake of 33 students both at UG level. At the PG level, the university offers M.V.Sc. at the PG level with a total intake of 38 students. Additionally, the university offers Ph.D. in 11 different disciplines of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry at the doctoral level with a total intake of 20 students, and a Diploma course in Animal Husbandry with a maximum capacity of 61 students.

The minimum eligibility to get admission in B.V.Sc & AH and B.F.Sc courses is to pass 10+2 or any equivalent examination from any recognized board.
Candidates applying for admission in M.V.Sc. must have a B.V.Sc & AH degree to stand eligible for admission.
For admission in Ph.D. of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, the candidates must have a Master’s degree from a recognized college or university.
To get admission in Diploma course in Animal Husbandry, the candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Admission will be based on the merit determined on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, Bhopal or by the Veterinary Council of India.

Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University offers B.V.Sc & A.H.) and B. F. Sc. at UG level with an intake of 87 students and 33 students respectively.

For admission in Ph.D. of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, candidates must have a Master’s degree from a recognized college or university. For admission in Diploma course, candidates must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board.

Candidates can get the application form from the university either by post or by hand on payment of INR 600 or 650 (Unreserved category) and INR 400 or 450 (Unreserved category) through Demand Draft in favor of “Comptroller, NDPCVV, Jabalpur” payable at “Jabalpur”.

Alternatively, they can also download the prospectus or application form from the website of the university but such candidates have to submit the application form along with DD of INR 600 (Unreserved Category) and INR 400 (Reserved category), respectively.
