MP Bhoj Open University (MPBOU) was established in 1991 to provide value distance education for the promotion of higher education. Currently, it offers various programs at the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate level including B.A, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, B.Com, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, MA, MLIS and MCA. In addition to the regular courses, Bhoj University (MPBOU) also offers PG Diploma in various disciplines along with B.Ed in Open & Distance (ODL) and Special Education.

The university conducts semester examination at the designated centers and students can obtain the exam results along with timetable and syllabus for the courses through the official MPBOU website. For UG programs, a candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Students who have passed any UG or PG degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for B.Ed course.
Any Bachelor’s degree holders are eligible to apply for MSW, MA, MBA and PG Diploma programs.
Graduation degree in Mathematics is required for MCA admission while a degree with Science is mandatory for M.Sc program.
Admission to all the Courses Offered by MPBOU is based on merit in the qualifying examination
In case of B.Ed & M.Ed programs, students have to appear in the entrance exam conducted by MPBOU.
The application forms can be obtained from any of the regional centers of the university. The cost of application form is INR 150 (BA, B.Com, B.Sc) and INR 300 (PG Courses)

MPBOU UG Admission 2023: B.A, BBA, B.Com, BLIS, BCA, B.Sc & B.Ed

Bhoj University offers various UG programs in Arts, Science, Management & Commerce and Education. MPBOU also offers special education program in collaboration with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) such as B.Ed in Special Education.

Basic eligibility for all the UG courses is a pass in 10+2 in the relevant group. For B.Ed, a graduation degree is required. Admission is based on marks in 10+2 while for B.Ed, students have to qualify in the test conducted by MPBOU.

B.Ed (SE-DE) is offered by the department of Special Education of MPBOU.
MPBOU follows a direct & merit-based process to offer admission in regular & professional courses respectively.
For direct admission mode, students have to meet the specific eligibility criteria while for merit-based admission, the students will be selected on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination.
MPBOU conducts entrance test to provide admission in B.Ed program. The test is conducted to judge the General Knowledge, Mental Ability, Scholastic Aptitude & General Hindi skills of an aspirant. The test will be of total 90 MCQs for the duration of one and a half hours.

MPBOU M.Ed Admission 2023

MP Bhoj Open University offers an M.Ed program under the department of Multimedia Education. The minimum eligibility is a pass in B.Ed with 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

Admission is offered on the basis of marks in the written test followed by a performance in academics and Work Experience.

MPBOU offers M.A, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA, MBA & MJMC programs at PG level in various specializations. The minimum eligibility is a pass in the relevant Graduation degree from a recognized university. Admission is offered on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination.

MPBOU Application Process 2023

Students are advised to follow the below-mentioned steps at the time of registration for UG, PG and Diploma programs. All details are required to be filled correctly with due attention.

The information brochure can be obtained from any regional center by paying the registration fee at MP Online Portal in favor of ‘The Registrar ‘through DD Challan. The registration fee is INR 150 for B.A. / B.Sc. / B. Com courses and INR 300/- for other courses.
After payment of the application fee, the candidate has to present the required documents to prove their eligibility, after which they can get their filled application form signed by the head of the regional center.

After getting the form signed, the candidates have to visit the nearest MPOnline kiosk center to fill the application form. On the basis of application, the candidates will receive their transaction ID.
On payment of the course fee, the controller will provide three copies of the filled application form to the aspirant, namely, Student’s copy, Kiosk Center’s copy & study center’s copy.

Note 1: Apart from the registration fee, a separate fee (MPOnline portal fee) of INR 30/- has to be paid for DCA courses & INR 40 for other courses. Students must note that this amount is not included in the application fee.

Yes, you can apply for CAT even if you have graduated from an open university. The only condition is that you must have scored 50% or more marks (45% in the case of reserved category) in your bachelor’s degree from a UGC-recognized university.

Bhoj Open University has been recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Thus, you will be eligible to apply for CAT.
