Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to the M.Ed program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programs:
- B.Ed. (1 or 2 years duration)
- B.A, B.Ed. or B.Sc, B.Ed.
- B.El.Ed.
- D.El.Ed. /D.Ed with an Undergraduate Degree (with 50% marks in each).
Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled and other applicable categories will be as per the rules of the State Government/UGC whichever is applicable.

Mangalore University offers good facilities and infrastructure for learning. It has one of the best libraries in Karnataka. It has a vast collection of books and magazines. Students are also given access to an e-library.
MU syllabus is outdated. The guest faculties aren’t good. Some of them lack basic knowledge of the subject. The permanent faculty base is better in comparison.
Although Mangalore University offers decent resources and facilities, in terms of academics it’s not a good option.
