Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.Sc Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
Candidates who have passed B Sc with Physics or Electronics as major/optional subject with 45% (40% in case of SC/ST) aggregate excluding languages, provided they have also studied Mathematics at the PU level are eligible for admission to the M Sc Electronics programme.
Entrance Exam:
The admission shall be based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and the marks secured in the entrance test (as per the rules framed by Mangalore University) to be conducted by the University.
Mangalore University offers good facilities and infrastructure for learning. It has one of the best libraries in Karnataka. It has a vast collection of books and magazines. Students are also given access to an e-library.
MU syllabus is outdated. The guest faculties aren’t good. Some of them lack basic knowledge of the subject. The permanent faculty base is better in comparison.
Although Mangalore University offers decent resources and facilities, in terms of academics it’s not a good option.
