Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.Sc Program should have passed three/four years Bachelor Degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with Life Science subjects provided they have studiedChemistry/Biochemistry as one of the major/optional/subsidiary subjects and have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/Category–I candidates) in aggregate excluding languages and group III subjects are eligible for the programme.
Mangalore University offers good facilities and infrastructure for learning. It has one of the best libraries in Karnataka. It has a vast collection of books and magazines. Students are also given access to an e-library.
MU syllabus is outdated. The guest faculties aren’t good. Some of them lack basic knowledge of the subject. The permanent faculty base is better in comparison.
Although Mangalore University offers decent resources and facilities, in terms of academics it’s not a good option.
