A spectrum of PG courses are offered for the students under various departments. All the PG courses are for the duration of 2 years. The admission is based directly on the merit list prepared by the university. Given below is the list of courses and the eligibility criteria.

The candidates, who wish to pursue the PG courses at Karnatak University, need to apply through the official website of the university. The admission to MBA and MTA will be based on the PG- Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by the CPAC, VTU campus, Belgaum.

The university offers 1 year PG Diploma courses. The courses and the eligibility criteria are listed below.

Every year, Karnatak University admits young and bright scholars for the research work. It offers 42 Ph.D regular courses for which the necessary detail is given below. The merit list of the selected candidates for the admission to the programme will be prepared after considering 50% marks of Post-graduation and 50% marks of the entrance test.

Selection Process

The admission to the Ph.D programmes is based on the written test of 100 marks. All the questions will be MCQs type. The candidates who qualify the written test have to appear for the Personal Interview round. The candidates, who have qualified GATE, NET, SLET, JRF or are FIP/QIP fellows, need not appear for the written test.

Application Process

The candidates who wish to apply for the Doctoral courses need to fill the application form, available at the official web portal of the university. The payment is made through online mode. For the future reference, candidates are advised to take the print of the application form and the payment slip.

For the students who cannot attend the classes regularly, the university runs separate distance education courses under the Directorate of Distance Education. The Under-Graduate Distance courses which are for the duration of 3 years, offered by the university are given below:

Apart from the distance degree programmes, KUD also offers PG Distance courses. Admission to these courses is offered on the basis of first come first serve basis. After that a merit list will be prepared & students will be called for the final admission.
