My sister pursued a B.Ed from Kurukshetra University and the good news is that it's easy to graduate from there.

You must only be worried about the exams because Kurukshetra University sets difficult question papers. The evaluation of the answer sheet is done carelessly and if you are not satisfied, you can apply for revaluation. 

In the third semester of my sister’s B.Ed, all the students failed in a particular subject. My sister got 33 and the passing marks were 40. But once revaluation was initiated, she got 40 and passed.

You can get an idea of Kurukshetra University with this piece of information.

No, it is not blacklisted. NIT Kurukshetra University is a well-known prestigious university. It is a place of learning that is merited with NAAC grade ‘A’ in 2009. It was for 5 years. 

Although it is no longer a NAAC rated university, if you search it online you would come across documents and reports specifying its authenticity as NAAC ‘A’ rated university.

You may check the official website of the college (http://kuk.ac.in/) to clear your doubts. 

Some of my friends studied at Kurukshetra University. According to them, it hardly matters from which University you have graduated. All that matters is what you have learned in all those years. Here are some things about the college:

• The professors there should be well qualified, they must pay much attention to co-curriculum and above all good placements.
• Honestly speaking, my friends suggest that there isn't any good in doing B.Tech from Kurukshetra University. 
• This is because the colleges affiliated with it are worth nothing. 
• There are very few placements in the colleges and the staff is also not organized.
• The main concern of the students in KUK is the results. 
• It has a record of very poor results whose blame can be put on both the University as well as the students. 
• Furthermore, the curriculum is also not updated.

Lastly, it is suggested that, though the university is “A” graded and one of the old universities it's worth nothing, getting a degree from Kurukshetra University.

Both universities are on the same level and are reputed state-level Universities with UGC recognition. Only these two are amongst the other 62 universities in India from Harayana, who have autonomy because of their high standards of excellence. 

Kurukshetra University was ranked A+ Grade by NAAC and ranked 8th among state universities in India. 

MDU, on the other hand, has a great infrastructure with new records in sports every year. The university has a comparatively low fee structure and a safe environment for girls. However, in terms of placements and faculty, MDU is still lacking behind.

You should go to Kurukshetra University as it will offer great exposure along with academics.

Sharing first-hand experience of getting a migration certificate for my sister. To get the migration certificate you just do the following: 

• Fill the Migration form available on the website or take it from a shop near the Examination wing-II, in KU, available for INR 10.
• Fill the form and attach your last Degree or DMC pursued.
• Attach an ID proof as well with a fee of INR 680
• Deposit the fee at an online fee payment centre near the Admin block, with a Debit card only.

Try doing all this before lunch, 13:00 p.m. Afterwards, go to Room no.106, on the ground floor of Examination wing-II, and submit the form. They will give you your migration certificate, right there in 2–3 hours.

Let me shorten the elaborate explanation of this process, as it will be easier to follow. Consider it as an unofficial version of the official procedure:

• Fill in all the details in the form.
• Count the documents of which you want the transcript.
• Ensure that the photocopy of the documents is clear and exact. The photocopies should be black and white and not colored.
• Double-check the details on the Marksheet and Degree like name of the candidate, father name and mother name, etc. One incorrect alphabet and you will not get the transcript.
• Pay the fee either online at Kurukshetra University or in the OBC branch of Kurukshetra University. 
• The more sets you want of the same documents just increase the amount. You will get as many sets as you want on one single form.
• There will be an envelope within an envelope. The inner envelope will be a sealed one with university stamps on it. So if you get the transcript at your home please update everyone not to open the inner envelope as it will become useless and you will have to go through the entire procedure again.
• Attach all the documents and fee receipt (if online) or if deposited in OBC, Kurukshetra University then paste it on the back of the form.
• Deposit the bunch in the Exam Wing-2, Certificate Section Top Floor in Room No. 100.
• They will give you a reference number in case you need to track your application.

The transcript is prepared regularly therefore it is daily routine work. Generally, it takes approximately 15 to 30 days to prepare the transcript so plan accordingly.

One of my friends studied at YMCA while my sister studied at IPU. I can share their experiences and let's see who won:

• YMCA receives a lot of good companies each year. 
• IPU receives IT firms most often with a package of INR 3.25 LPA. The only highlight of IPU is Microsoft. 
• As a CS or IT, you will find it to your liking. In YMCA Amazon, Maruti, Adobe, Snapdeal, Yamaha, and many more reputed companies come to hire B.Tech graduates.

Placement is what matters to most, however, it's not the only parameter of comparison but because YMCA tops in placements which is an essential factor nevertheless, it wins!
