Rashtriya Raksha University, situated in Dahegam, Gandhinagar was established in 2009 and has 15 constituent schools. The university was established by the Government of Gujarat and is recognised by UGC.

The university offers undergraduate, post graduate, diploma, M.Phil and Ph.D courses to the students. The admissions are generally merit based but for a few courses, it is entrance based.

Rashtriya Raksha University Admissions

For admission, the university prepares the merit list according to the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination or on the basis of entrance examination. B.Tech admission is based on JEE Main exam, while for M.Tech program, GATE score is considered. For LLM courses, the candidate needs to qualify the CLAT examination or an online examination conducted by the university. While for research level courses, Ph.D and M.Phil, the university conducts an entrance exam and the shortlisted students have to appear for a personal interview.

Ques. Does the university provide any certificate courses?

Ans. The certificate courses by the university are yet to be started. The university will provide certificate courses in the field of defence, military, counter terrorism, strategy and many more.

Ques. Is there any priority given to the students of Rashtriya Raksha University?

Ans. The Government of Gujarat has notified that for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Police Department or State Reserve Police Force and Intelligence Officer in the Gujarat State Intelligence Bureau, a weightage of additional marks will be given to graduate/post graduate students of Rashtriya Raksha University.

Ques. Is there any criteria for giving grace marks to the students in the final exam?

Ans. In order to be promoted to the next semester, a student must score a minimum 35% marks in the End Semester Exam. If the students fail only in one subject and if after adding 5% marks in the following subject, the student obtains the minimum qualifying marks, those marks would be added as grace marks and the student will be declared as a pass in that semester.

Ques. Does the university provide any training programs?

Ans. The university also provides two training programs : Preventive and Investigate Photography and Bombs and Explosives, each having a duration of 5 days. The participants of the programs are police officers of the rank of ASI/PSI.
