Course Duration

The minimum duration for the Ph.D. course offered at Navrachana University is 3 years divided into 6 semesters. While the maximum duration is of 6 years divided into 12 semesters.

Prescribed Coursework

A scholar admitted to the Ph.D. Program is required to undertake Course Work that is a prerequisite for Ph.D. preparation. It will be conducted over a period of 2 semesters and includes:

• Year-1 of the Ph.D. program has general coursework. A minimum of 4 credits to be assigned to courses on Research Methodology covering areas such as quantitative methods, computer applications, scientific and technical writing, research ethics.
• The curriculum of the second year of the Ph.D. program will have Discipline Specific Course Work that will include advanced level courses, Independent Research work, and a review of published research in the relevant field preparing the scholars for their doctoral study.
