Course Description

Gujarat University admission 2023 is ongoing for Ph.D. programs. The application process started on August 2, 2023. The last date to apply for Gujarat University PhD program will be notified soon. Also, B.Ed, M.Ed Online Registration Start for New Students (Offline) for admission counselling Round 3 will begin on August 4 and will continue till August 8. The merit list for the same will be declared on August 9, 2023. Interested candidates can apply through the official website www.gujaratuniversity.ac.in.

Gujarat University offers Ph.D. degrees in 23 different streams associated with different study departments. The college offers three types of Ph.D. namely, full-time, part-time, and independent research. A full-time research program includes the student’s presence, the complete time towards the course. The applicants who are employed with some profession enroll for a part-time research program for Ph.D. completion.

The applicant must hold a Master's degree in the relevant field for which he is applying for a Ph.D. with at least 55% of marks.
Duration varies from 2-3 Years
Students need to appear for an Entrance exam followed by a group discussion and personal interview.

Gujarat University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Ph.D from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad is:

The applicant must hold a Master's degree in the relevant field for which he is applying for a Ph.D. with at least 55% of marks.
The masters’ degree should be from an equivalent and recognized University.
Any applicant who doesn’t hold an Indian degree must also score at least 55% from any internationally recognized University.
Admission to the Ph.D program is based on merits obtained from the entrance exam.

Gujarat University Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

The total number of student’s intake for a Ph.D. should be decided by the University and will be notified to the applicants on the official website of Gujarat University.

Steps to Apply for the application are:
- The application forms are available online from the first week of May on the official website of the university www.gujarat university.ac.in.
- Collect a 14-digit pin distributed by the university at their venue before filling out the admission form.
- You will have to submit this pin and personal details at the login window in order to register and fill out the admission form of Gujarat University.
The entrance exam is based on the particulars of a subject, a candidate is applying for.
The decided stipulated number of applicants will be confirmed as admitted according to the merit list of the exam.
The merit lists will be declared online on the college’s website.
After the name appears in the merit list, the applicant would be officially registered to the University.
After the clearance mail by RDC, the applicant’s admission is finalized In Gujarat University for Ph.D.

Gujarat University Ph.D. Course Details

The Gujarat University includes a syllabus approved by UGC and Government board for the candidates. The different specializations include different syllabus accordingly. The record of the syllabus and subjects will be provided to the applicant during the time of registration.

The decision on the subject and syllabus varies according to the Ph.D. ordinance.

The Ph.D research exam at Gujarat University includes the Research paper presentation. The process of paper shall be submitted to the RDC and faculty every six months. RDC will have a complete overview of the paper during the final year of a course. After the process of research, the student needs to prepare a thesis regarding the same paper and submit it to RDC.

Gujarat Technological University - Gujarat Technological University situated in Ahmedabad came into existence in 2007. The university has 486 colleges affiliated with it and it provides courses in the field of Science and Commerce. It is headed by the state government. You can look for management, pharmacy, and engineering courses in the college for graduation and post-graduation. Gujarat University - It is also located in Ahmedabad and is headed by the state government. The grounds that it differs from GTU are the courses it has to offer. It has courses related to Arts, Science, Commerce stream and lacks any engineering courses. If we look at the placement factor, then surely GTU has better prospects than GU. The highest package offered was 3.45 LPA in 2020 in GTU. Choose the one that suits you and fulfills your requirements. Ultimately it is your decision that matters.
